9:30pm Israel/ 2:30pm EDT: Naomi and Yisrael Weiser (parents of) in memory of their son, Staff Sergeant Roey Weiser (BDE)
A Sergeant in the Golani Brigade in the 13th Battalion, Roey and his soldiers battled against hundreds of terrorists on October 7th, killing dozens before their troop was ambushed. Roey died a hero, saving the countless lives of other soldiers & civilians in the South.
Served in the Golani Brigade in the 13th Battalion. Son of Naomi and Yisrael Weiser, brother of Shani and Nadav. He studied at the Derech Avot High School in Efrat. After high school, he went to the Atzmona preparatory school, where he became stronger, and then enlisted in the Golani Brigade in the 13th Battalion.
On the morning of October 7, 2023, Roey and his soldiers waged a stubborn battle against hundreds of terrorists, killing dozens of them before they ran out of ammunition. In the retreat towards the security room, Roey, who was leading the force, encountered an ambush and was killed. But thanks to Roey's heroic tactical thinking, many soldiers and civilians were saved AND many civilians and soldiers in the farther circle were also saved. www.rememberroey.com
