About Event
Special invitation to the Jerusalem screening of Award-Winning Documentary American Birthright — Hollywood Filmmaker will be present to discuss.
Filmmaker and actor Becky Tahel’s recent documentary, American Birthright, takes a close look into a subject that doesn’t usually make it to the big screen – intermarriage.
American Birthright follows an Israeli-American's journey to grappling with her sister's intermarriage, which sets her on a deep search for Jewish identity and shows her going back home to Israel to confront all of her burning questions. The film has screened for audiences worldwide, inspiring thousands of Jews to ask the question "Why be Jewish?". Becky Tahel is here to share the film and engage in meaningful dialogue — her final date is July 25th in the Old City. She previously spoke at President Rivlin's Residence about the piece, and is back to share the final 66-minute film. Come and experience the power of this film's ability to intrinsically inspire Jewish souls to think and ask bigger questions, encouraging them to finally carve out their own unique Jewish identity.
