Jamie Black
Hello, my name is Jamie. I was born in North-West London and lived there for most of my life. I have two younger brothers and our family is traditional Jewishly. After working in the UK Parliament as a policy researcher, I moved to NYC for a fellowship with The Tikvah Fund. When I moved here, I was looking for an organization that hosted Shabbat dinners and Jewish learning events. I was lucky to be introduced to Steve Eisenberg, by a friend of mine, and have since attended many JICNY events. Gavin and Jodi’s dinners are amongst my favourites: they are very welcoming hosts, the crowd is friendly, interesting and global, and the food is always excellent. JICNY offers a Jewish life and community to many international Jews living in NYC. It’s run by volunteers that put in countless hours and dedication. I and many others are very fortunate as a result. Thanks JICNY!
