Fortune Harari

I am an artist and educator; born and raised in Brooklyn to traditional Sephardic family where many languages were spoken so it feels natural for me to have a strong connection among the JICNY international family. My family is from Beirut and Germany yet we are also in Israel, Brazil, Argentina, and NY. I have been following Steve Eisenberg’s speaking engagements for several years before he joined JICNY. When Steve joined forces with Jodi and Gavin Samuels, I was most impressed by their collective efforts; including the incredible opportunities for growth which they create in their programming. As a team, their warmth and commitment to Jewish values have often inspired me to stay in tune with my heritage and perhaps explore a bit more than I might have otherwise. JICNY has given me so many wonderful experiences, amazing friendships, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of our tradition. I feel privileged to be a part of such a dynamic community and would like to express my gratitude for both JICNY's founders and their vision. I am very excited about participating in International Music Festival at the 9th Annual JICNY Gala. I look forward to seeing you at our Gala at the Highline Ballroom!
