Special guest speaker, Rabbi Charles E. Savenor “What Holds Us Back? – Judaism’s Approach to Moving Forward”
Rabbi Savenor serves as the Director of Kehilla (Congregational) Enrichment for the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ). Rabbi Savenor worked for seven years as the Associate Dean and Director of Admissions of The Rabbinical School of the Jewish Theological Seminary, and for five years as the Associate Rabbi of the historic Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago. A Summa Cum Laude graduate from Brandeis University, Rabbi Savenor was ordained as a rabbi and received a Masters Degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary. In 2008 he earned his Masters of Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. In addition, he serves as a volunteer fund raiser for Lone Soldiers in the Israeli Defense Forces. He and his wife, Julie, live in New York City with their two sons, Joseph and Benjamin
