Come to Brooklyn this Sunday, for a one of a kind event!
Masbia is a soup kitchen but it is disguised as a restaurant, so people are treated with dignity and respect. This is a whole morning program. First you will be treated to a breakfast with the Masbia leadership to learn about their work and then you will volunteer to help prepare food for the restaurant.
The cost of the event is $10 for the breakfast and then everyone will help "give back" by helping with the food preparation.
PROGRAM:
10:30am-11:00am- Breakfast and presentation from Masbia Staff
11am-1pm- Food prep
Participants must be 10 yr and older.
Masbia soup kitchen network is where the rubber meets the road in the fight against hunger. We feed hot, nutritious meals to hungry men, women and children. No statistics. No bureaucracy. No middleman. We deposit food in empty stomachs.
