JICNY is a Co-Sponsor of this event. Following last year's phenomenal inaugural celebration, the Upper West Side is coming together again to celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day. Synagogues, schools, and Jewish organizations are sponsoring events throughout the Upper West Side celebrating the rich and complex culture, history, and people of Israel. Events begin on Sunday, May 4 and culminate in a community-wide celebration on Tuesday, May 6th
