Letter from the Founders

Photo "If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it." - William Arthur Ward

Over 200 events a yearâ?¦ Weekly Torah classesâ?¦Classes for womenâ?¦Classes for menâ?¦Family programmingâ?¦ and Shabbat dinners to name just a few. It has been told to us that we are still not necessarily meeting the needs of many.

Tell us needs are not being met, and we are on it! JICNY is excited to announce the launch of JICNY Connections. A kick-off Wine & Dessert reception will be held on the UWS, Sunday evening February 23rd. JICNY Connections is a group formed for past JICNY participants and those who have not yet become involved because they feel they have â??outgrownâ? the JICNY. Created for individuals ages 35-50, Connections hopes to allow individuals to stay involved or become part of the JIC community.

Always staying true to our mission statement, the JICNY continues to be a place to meet, find out about what is going on in the City and connect to the one thing that unites us from all corners of the world - our Jewish heritage.

Please let this newest JICNY creation be an example of how we are always looking to meet the needs of our many supporters and participants.

Warm wishes,

Steve Eisenberg and Jodi & Gavin Samuels

Chairman of the Board: Organizational Update

Dear Friends,

It is with great excitement and optimism that I announce the two newest members of the JICNY professional leadership team. Jessica Abo & Grant Silverstein joined JICNY this year to help us continue serving the community. Both come with a strong familiarity of the organization and commitment to seeing our continued success.

Jessica who was the producer of our successful 2013 Gala will now be working with JICNY as a consultant and will plan events throughout the year for our growing community.

Grant who is also no stranger to JICNY, will head up our fundraising projects. Grant will be working with current and future donors to ensure we can achieve our mission.

Jessica and Grant share our commitment to volunteering for JICNY. Now that they are on staff, they'll be able to commit even more time to the organization.

Please join me, along with our board of directors, in welcoming them both and wishing the best of success for the JICNY.

Sincerely,

Jeff Stier

Board Chairman
